For the better part of Tanecia's teenage years, she struggled with accepting her physical features. Tanecia was constantly reminded of her flaws and because of that she struggled with accepting herself.
However, Tanecia found the meaning of true beauty when she discovered the beauty of inner self, and the beauty of a relationship with Christ.
Tanecia reminded us of the importance of setting healthy boundaries amongst our friend group to ensure the emotional safety of everyone, and the importance of seeing that you are enough.

February 2024 Newsletter Review
In this episode were did a brief overview of the newsletter. Here are the main take aways:
Many times it is difficult for us to pinpoint the exact reason why we are stressed, which makes it difficult to manage or cope.
If we know what our normal bodily reactions are to different circumstances, it becomes easier to identify when our 'abnormal' isn't 'normal'.
It is important for us to be mindful of how we take care of our body while we are stressed. Unhealthy habits form when w have a stressed heart, and those very actions can be precursors to various heart diseases; such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, type 2 diabetes.

In this episode, Zhara navigated loss and financial adversities. She went through her early part of high school navigating the different forms that the loss of her dad would've brought - or what she titled, 'daddy issues'. But through it all, she learnt to adapt and overcome - with the help of God and her friends.
